The tensile-strength test is innately fruitless; at the time of the process of collecting data, the sample is wasted. Neither of these methods, however, can locate internal imperfections.
Radiation
Internal, as well as external flaws, can be found by X-ray or gamma-ray techniques in which the radiation scans the material and impinges on a subject photographic film.
